LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)- The Jefferson County Board of Education has unanimously approved the contract for the new superintendent.
Superintendent Donna Hargens will get paid $276,000 a year, making her the highest paid public school official in the state. She was also given several benefits including moving expenses. Her contract is $3,000 more than former superintendent Sheldon Berman’s.
Hargens will start August 1.
